In 40 years, one in every four people on Earth will starve unless food production more than doubles.  Join Dr. Dominic Sisti of the Penn Center for Bioethics, and Dr. Nina Fedoroff, acclaimed life scientist and Science and Technology Advisor to the U.S. State Department (2007-2010), for an interactive discussion about agriculture, technology, and the future of the food we put on our dinner tables.

Dominic Sisti, Ph.D., is the Director of The Scattergood Program for the Applied Ethics of Behavioral Health, University of Pennsylvania, and Senior Fellow at the Penn Center for Bioethics. 

Nina Fedoroff, Ph.D., is an Evan Pugh Professor at the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, Penn State University, Distinguished Visiting Professor at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and served as the Science and Technology Advisor to the Secretary of State and to the Administrator of USAID from 2007-2010.

Guest Parking:
There will be guest parking available in our South Campus lots (C1, C2, or D).  The entrance to south campus is located off Lindley Avenue (between Ogontz and Belfield st.).  You'll see a La Salle University sign at the driveway entrance.  Continue up the path until you come to the C1, C2 or D lots.

This event is a part of the inaugural Philadelphia Science Festival (PSF) taking place from April 15-28 as a way to celebrate science and technology.
